My personal opinion about what Felix is like, is that he is very curious on what ever journey he goes on. My evidence of this is when he is told to stay inside the Attice,he makes up stories. Such as; Adventure stories about his parents.
Why Felix is so childish.
The reason why he acts childish is because in the orphanage, everyone holds secrets about what’s going on outside the world. My evidence to this is that he finds a river that is red, but he thinks that it’s rabbits blood. I’ve noticed that each step he takes, its a clue about what’s going on and were his parents are. Felix wonders and really wlants to know why his parents put him in the orphanage. Even when Felix has memorise of the good times tht he had with his parents.
The thing that I like about Felix, is that people that he’s friends with, he writes adventure stories about them. Then later on hen his friends are together. He reads his story out to them.
Felix’s personality is not just him being curious. But he’s very polite and generous. You will notice this by reading the book. One of the examples is when Felix asks Mother Minka, if Doddi was aloud to have a bath first. But most of all, what makes Felix a really great person, is that he save someone’s life. He saved little girls life. And her name is Zelda.
Felix has a companion during this whole book. (The companion is Zelda). This makes the book sad at times. This is because Felix was being genirouse to Zelda by taking care of her, and always putting her first. No matter what.
Another thing that I like about Felix, is that he bever gives up. This is because, even though nazis are looking for people like Felix.(Jews). Even though he’s badly injured. He stil carries on looking for his parents.
One more thing that I have noticed as well, is that Felix’es personality is in a different book called, “The boy in striped pyjamas.” This is because they both have two or more symularities. The first one is, they are both based on WW2. The second is they are both round about the same age.
In the book. You would notice that Felix doesn’t say anything negative in the story. But you would notice that even is something really bad happens, he still carries on to acheive his goal. Which is finding out what happened to his parents, and finding out what’s going on, and why it’s happening.
To me the most saddest part of the story is when Felix and his friends are on the train.
Felix has a crazy idea that can get not only himself killed. But anyone els who chooses to follow his path, that can lead them to a tragic death. Felix decides he would jump off the train and a few others decided to follow. Nazis start firing their guns.
People die. But there was one in particular that Felix felt sorry for. Her name was Chaya. Which was the innocent young girl. That stayed on the tracks, waiting for someone to pull her to somewhere
safe. Here is a quota from the book. “Thats what happened to poor Chaya. She’s lying next to me on the grass, bleeding and not breathing.”
Conclusion:
In the story, you can tell that he had a good childhood for a short period of time. You can tell he tries really hard to find parents. Even though he doges really hard obstacles, he still searches for his parents.
